An audio recording that has gained traction on social media features a woman named Anuradha Verma, who is allegedly an employee of a private bank, verbally abusing a customer believed to be an Indian Army soldier during a loan discussion. The harsh and threatening remarks made in the conversation have ignited significant public outrage. However, the bank has since clarified that Verma is not affiliated with them.
HDFC Bank responded to the viral audio involving a woman and a CRPF soldier, stating, "This is regarding an audio clip circulating on social media, where a woman is heard disrespecting a CRPF personnel. Many posts have wrongly identified her as an employee of HDFC Bank. We want to clarify that this person is not associated with our bank. The behavior exhibited in the clip is unacceptable and does not align with our organizational values."
Verma's Remarks Spark Backlash
The statements made by Verma in the viral audio have become a focal point of controversy. In the clip, she asserts, "If you were educated, you would be in a better job, not stationed at the border. That's why your children are born disabled, and people like you become martyrs. I come from a defense family, so what can you teach me? If you truly belonged to a prominent family, you wouldn't be seeking loans of Rs 15-16 lakhs. Don't lecture me. You're living off loans and trying to advise me? You can't even repay 5000 and act like it's a big deal. Don't flaunt in front of me. Do whatever you want; am I your servant? You challenged me, right? Now prove it." These comments have drawn sharp criticism on social media, prompting discussions about Verma's mindset and social accountability.
